So, I wanted to draw a cute Charmeleon gal. I'd wanted to for a while. And oh look, I ended up drawing her 11 times. Guess that shows how into it I was. The design was just kind of whatever - the body is a fairly standard type, and the eyelashes are basically the same as Alaska from Dragonfruit (see *here*, on the far right). But even so, I had a blast with this (except for her thumbs, I just had the worst time with those for some reason)... I might have gone a little bit... overboard? with some of these. Yes, I am mostly just looking at that second drawing (starting from top left) with the arched back and the love heart. I wanted to try drawing an arched back, y'see, and when I did, a somewhat lewd pose came out of it, although I didn't think it that lewd at the time. If I had put a blush on her, on the other hand...
In fact, even apart from the arched back, this sketch sheet in general served as some nice pose practice. The one where she's stretching, with the arms up, required a couple of new reference photos. Also, there's a butt down there too. It's been a little while. She generally turned out kind of tsundere, a trope which I'm generally not fond of, but I guess having like ONE character like that is fine... as if anybody cares anyway. (Note that I only really acknowledged it by the end, with that tiny sketch near the middle which I put there to fill the space. "B-baka!")
The colours were really hard to get right for some reason... anyway, I did some basic cheatsy-shortcutsy shading for the main part, but I got out the Mixer Brush and everything for the fire. Just to make it look nice... to match the lovely Charmeleon! <3 I want to draw more Pokegirls again.
And yes, that's a reference to the "The Girl Reading This" meme.
