I just realized there aren't many pictures of the Cap'n decked out in actual pirate gear and attire. So I rectified that. A bit sketchy, but I'm really trying to get back in the SAI painter groove.

Oh man yes! I agree there are too few pics of Black all decked out in his garb (will fix)
I am LOVING this! He looks REALLY good in red (normally his coat is blue, but I'm digging the red)

Hey, glad you dig it. I've just been trying to figure out things to draw, namely characters I haven't ever drawn, so thank you for making him available for me.
I actually wasn't at all sure what his normal coat color was, cause like I said, I couldn't really find any pictures of him in his garb. I just kinda went off the ref you had for him, and I guess the way I read it, it seemed like you were okay with whatever style pirate captain garb, so long as it seems like a pirate captain's garb.
Lets just say it's in his younger years maybe? : D Regardless, I'm happy that you enjoyed it. I should draw somebody with flintlock pistols some time.
