I beat Dragon Quest VIII today! Finally! I had gotten the game as a gift from my late grandma, and I had been putting it off because everyone scared me by saying how long it was. And I guess, it was long, took me about 80 hours (but that includes over-leveling, whoops) and I've been playing it in tiny bites since I left for China months ago. So glad to finally play through it though, because it was so good (younger me would have ADORED it, I'm so sad I waited now!) and also because it was THE LAST GAME ON MY (original) BACKLOG. I have a new backlog growing now, but my 15+ year one is now....tamed.
This was originally just supposed to be a black and white sketch, but...I went overboard. Yikes. Took a few more hours (yeah) than I wanted it to, but, hey, the game deserves it.

P.S. I know some of you guys dig transformation and this game is about a Princess (named Medea) who has been turned into a horse! I love her, and you might, too! ♥♥♥

Well, I have been working on it. xD Like, that was my new year's resolution. And I still can't do anything I WANT to with humans, anything good I do is still mostly a fluke. @_@
And yeah, it was for work, and was, no exaggeration, the worst thing that's ever happened to me. -_- I didn't realize it was legally okay for half the things that happened to me on that trip to happen to an employee of a company. Wow. Yeah. No.

This is the game that got me into jrpgs when I was just a young kid. I love everything about it and could play it over and over again never getting bored :D Since then I have played every other DQ game, including the one that just came out which I 100%, and they have all been fantastic! But none will ever top DQ8 and that nostalgic feeling of discovering all those places all over again :3
Yeah I bought it on the day it came out Sept. 4th and got the 100% achievement on Sept. 13th x3
I also beat the last secret boss on essentially hard mode since I didn't use that one item I didn't know about that weakens him so he has half defense and half attack. Took me over an hour doing it that way while the proper way takes me 12 mins lol
