The African Savanna exhibit at the Nashville Zoo is just wonderful--the landscaping replicates the tallgrass prairie, and the sidewalk is meant to resemble a dried river bed, complete with animal tracks. There are footprints of rhinos, elephants, antelopes, leopards, tortoises, and bits of grass and shrinkage cracks worked into the pavement. I'm thinking of doing something like this with my own patio!

Lovely! Its really neat when the designers take this level of detail into their themeing!
Vrghr noticed that the wilderness Safari ride in Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom did the same thing for the length of their entry queue line. Various animal tracks wander across a poured concrete floor built to resemble a packed-down earthen path.
On a different but related note, the new Toy Story world there has giant sneaker footprints wandering about the walkways, from Andy running around the "back yard" playing with his toys. *grins*
