Bio: The last sworn protector of the fountain of youth, having lived in the Ural Mountains past the Land of Darkness where the fountain was located. Her people were once Milesian Greeks, migrating from Miletus to current day Abkhazia. However Mirazh's group had wandered off the trail into the Land of Darkness. She was born in the dark lands and soon orphaned as her parents fell ill shortly after her birth and never made it to the fountain, choosing to remain behind and be given to the leader of the expedition as his daughter. The group founded the waters weeks after and built a society and village around it and as Mirazh grew she took on the carefree, lax, and very intimate and romantic culture of the fountain village. Even with that mindset she was known to be a rebel, not taking her school lessons seriously and often wondering into the Land of Darkness for adventure but it was her who discovered a great army in search of her home. The army of Alexander the Great.

Once it was known Alexander the Great was on a quest for the mystic waters it was soon decided that the clan guarding the fountain split apart, with only one member trusted to carry the last of the rejuvenating waters in a vial to be protected for eternity. Mirazh was chosen to bear the burden as she had traveled the farthest out of the village even going so far as Egypt and back, showing her survival and resourcefulness. She wears the glass vial around her neck in a necklace, always having the water on her and she's used it multiple times to keep herself young as she is now the last living guardian and soon the facts of the spring faded into myth and legend. Her longevity in life has given her great knowledge about the knowings and cultures of the world. She's used this knowledge to live through the ages, starting a life in one culture learning their mannerisms, traditions, and languages before moving disappearing almost entirely, moving onto another lifestyle before her secrets are discovered. Currently she puts her centuries of knowledge to good use, starting her own global trade organization which is the lead supplier for many developing third world counties around the globe but there are talks of less than friendly trades going on behind the scenes, with the hobby of collecting ancient artifacts. All while keep the waters of the fountain, right below everyone's noses.

She is able to add the water from the vial into any pool of liquid and it adds the youthful properties to that liquid, and can bottle up the liquid to refill her vial essentially never running out of the water of life. She does this every time she grows old and frail and reverts back to being a young adult, essentially she can keep herself young forever. After she finishes this process she does a special distilling ritual to turn the water she affected back to normal so only the water in her vial is the true water of life.

So here is my first anthro OC created from scratch! Where as anthro Sonya and anthro Sarah are obviously based on existing characters I wanted to try my hand at creating one from the ground up! It was a lot harder than expecting deciding on species and fur color, etc. But after narrowing down to a avian it got much easier as a falcon well, obviously my namesake on DA and you don't see too many avian characters :P. But I'm very happy with how Mirazh turned out and the story I came up with! From the start I wanted to make her ancient, give her some kind of eternal youth or life, heavily inspired by my friends other ancient characters. The stories of the fountain of youth always interested me so happy I could work that in even if it is based on a myth that isn't so popular. This way I could make her Greek as well fitting in with history and I had always wanted to make a Greek character so she checks a lot of my boxes on characters I wanted to make. XD
