Dr. Nicholas Baker is a (mad) scientist, pictured here with his Generic Multi-Purpose Science Ray (also known as "GMPSR" (also known as "GMP" (also known as "gun"))) which can be used for a variety of purposes -- shrinking, enlarging, freezing, heat rays, sonic vibration, lasers, extinguishing fires, anything a mad scientist could need in a single convenient handheld device. Unfortunately, he's as crazy as he is brilliant, with a fondness for the "shrink" function on his GMPSR. His charming appearance and friendly personality help to lower your guard, so you don't see it coming when he shrinks ya and eats ya!

Nick is a fusion of two old concepts, inspired by a request for a collaboration story with another writer and close friend, which sadly didn't come about. Originally intended to be the unwitting prey in the story, over time Nick sort of "absorbed" the pred character's concept as well, and became one himself. Which is fine -- he's more fun when he's sinister.

This was a free sketch request drawn by Silent_E on Eka's Portal, who also came up with this great line: "Insanity is no excuse for poor lab protocol." Whether that refers to 'laboratory' or 'labrador' is unclear, but both work. :p
