Lilly Foutaine was born with a life threatening illness early in life. Her parents begged Sekhmet, the goddess of Healing and War, to save their child. The goddess agreed, but on the condition that her life would be dictated by the fate Sekhmet had in store for her. Putting their trust into the Goddess, Sekhmet called forth the angel Liam, an angel who had studied mortals and yearned to experience the life of one. Fulfilling the wish of the parents and the wish of her angel, she infused the angel into the child, healing her and strengthening her. The young vixen bore the wings of her angelic benefactor. Her parents were sworn to secrecy by the goddess. Lilly would not be told of her savoir, but would live her life guided by the unseen hand of fate.
For years she lived and trained to become a ranger. She was popular with a number of the boys, but something inside her kept keeping her from finding interest in them beyond friends. It wasn't until she was eighteen that the gears of fate began to turn. Demons invaded Furgasta while Lilly was guiding a caravan towards Amun-Ra castle. The caravan was attacked, and Lilly was the only survivor. Rushing into the woods, she was guided to see the young Prince Robert Silvermyst unconscious and clinging for life to a boulder in the rapids. She rescued him, healed his injuries and nursed him back to health.
The pair traveled throughout the land of Furgasta, gathering allies, saving civilians, forming a ragtag army. And during this adventure, Lilly fell in love with Robert. Once they reached the holy Mount Godspeak, Robert was told that in order to ascend to be trained by the God Ra, he must first take a bride and ensure an heir. This too was part of Sekhmet's guiding hand. The prince married Lilly and gave unto her twins: Celest the wolven girl, and Camio, the vixani boy, both bearing the wings of their mother.
After Robert's training, the final battle of the war began, a bid to retake Castle Amun-Ra and face Robert's possessed brother, Simon. In the palace chambers, Robert, Lilly and their allies faced Simon. Prince Korui of Delacia used forbidden magics to return Simon's soul to his body and drove out the Archdemon. But, with all of the power the Archdemon had and the dead demonic bodies laying around, the archdemon forged a new body for himself, facing the group with overwhelming power. He launched a spell that could easily slay them all.
In this moment, Lilly knew the fate Sekhmet had in store for her and embraced it. Using all of her hidden power, she creates a barrier to protect the group from the spell. But even her barrier would not be enough. As it fractured, one beam of demonic energy pierced through her chest, sending her flying backwards into Robert.
Robert tried to heal Lilly with divine magic, only to find that demonic energy prevented it from affecting her. In a last act of sacrifice, she transformed herself into pure divine essence, merging the angelic power and her life essence into Robert, causing him to ascend into a living archangel, giving him the power to slay the archdemon permanently.
Statues of Lilly were errected by Robert to pay tribute to who he calls the true hero of the Demon War. Her memory is held close to Robert, and her story is passed on through countless generations.
