No offense is intended to poets or poetry lover. This is just what ended up coming out of my head when I started thinking back on my own poetry lessons in English class.

A Simple Poem

A simple poem always rhymes,
and its meter keeps in time.
So you do not ever need,
to concentrate on what you read.
A simple poem's imagery,
makes the theme quite plain to see.
So you'll never, ever cry,
you missed the who-what-where-when-why.
A simple poem doesn't change,
all the stanzas stay the same.
So that you can always say,
You know where "B" goes back to "A."
A simple poem could go on,
for pages ‘til its welcome's gone.
Reading one's a lightweight breeze,
leaving behind the taste of cheese.
