Character Bio: Camus, the Great Beast.
My portion of a collab with
Necrarian . I am fascinated by their world building and so they offered to have me add a part of my own making. Camus is a druid turned Beastial Demigod that protects the wilds from demon and celestail alike. Enjoy!
Update: added more description to Camus' appearance, nature, and abilities.

Age: unknown
Home: The Wilds

Description:
Once a mortal druid, Camus witnessed the war between demons and celestials. He saw both sides as a threat to the natural world, powers that would distort nature’s perfect balance. He knew he could not fight these powers with what he had, so he turned to the Wilds for aid. He stood in storms, braved earthquakes, gazed at tidal waves, and watched predators of all sizes hunt to gain an idea of the power he needed. Nature is pure, its power grand. If Nature’s might where to have a body, said body could reppell any threat. So Camus retired into the deepest reaches of the Wilds and spent three days and three nights performing the rituals and incantations he needed for his intended transformation.
He succeeded more than he could imagine, becoming a towering werebeast with deer's antlers, a bear’s head, an eagle’s talons, a lizard’s tail, and a wolflike body. Nature’s wrath awaited his command, the Wilds bending to his will. The fircest beasts bow in respect, the strongest warrior shivers in his presence. Camus was now an Arch Beast, a defender of the Wilds and the God of Nature’s Wrath. The bones of his prey decorate his body and the hides of mighty beasts make up his new clothing. Those who earn his favor will have gained an unstoppable guardian, while those who oppose him will be decimated by the violent power of the forest.
Now known by many titles: the Great Beast, The Animal King, and the Wild God, Camus lords over his domain in the depths of the Wilds. Camus’ domain is described by the few who have seen it to be a natural paradise by day and stalked by mighty ravenous beasts at night. These beasts bow only to Camus: all others must prove their strength. Those who wish to contact him must first cross his domain, where their physical and mental strength will be tested. Those who succeed will meet the Great Beast himself and earn his favor. Those who fail will be claimed by the Wilds.
In combat, Camus wields a mighty bow carved from the wood of an ancient tree. This bow cracks like thunder when an arrow is released and said arrows are capable of bringing down a castle. But his true power is his ability to create natural disasters and call for the beasts of the wild to aid him in combat. With the fury of nature at his command, Camus will maintain the balance of the world: even if he must slay every demon and celestial himself.
