There is a place called the haunted marsh, a place that has seen many il-fated battles and bodies washed up from shipwrecks resulting in many lost souls getting trapped there over the ages. spiritual activity in the area has become so bad that the landscape has changed, forever stuck in twilight during even on the brightest day and rumours of undead beings and shambling beasts have been told many a time.

Yet it is there that Zeis makes her home, drawn there by the many spirits to practice her dark magics. A mistress of curses and hexes, diseases, life and even death and yet some still seek her out even braving the accursed place to beg for her favor.
Ofcourse that is if she even wants to be found, for there are tales of those who have visited her, and when they turned around after leavign her dwelling they could not find any proof of it ever being there a mere moment ago...

Wherever she came from or what her exact motives were for living in the haunted marsh, it can't be denied that it has granted her plenty of power, though at a price it seems even for her as she lost the sight in one eye. Though even this she has managed to twist in her favor as her dead eye still has sight not of the living world but the world of the spirits of the dead. This also allows her to see the source and nature of various curses cast upon things or living beings and better counter them.
