Decided to do this one after I got started on Life. Both are the same size and will be in the Oklacon artshow!
The necklace is a snake skeleton. In many cultures snakes are viewed as symbols of fertility and rebirth- so I thought snake bones would be appropriate. The lifeless setting in the background is meant to be very red, as if it is blood-soaked earth.
I understand that his face doesnt look incredibly skull-like. But I couldn't find a solution to that without completely changing other ideas I wanted to use.
Acrylics on watercolor board, 10.75 X 14.5 inches.

I hope these pieces sell very well for you. They are both beautiful companion pieces. Especially love how well you did water on life.
His face works. It seems like the skull is a part of him, and it makes him seem more like a shaman than a demon, which is something I appreciate.
