honestly tho gramma isn't too far off. my husband and i did not have a 'proper' engagement. neither one of us got on one knee or anything like that. we sat down one day and talked over how marriage would be different for us than how we already lived, and decided it would be a mutually beneficial move. despite the logical way we went about it, i still was very nearly brought to tears at our wedding, and we are much happier than any of the couples we've known who had more traditionally romantic bonding. we DO love eachother- we got married after dating for a while, after living together for a while. we genuinely enjoy spending time together and trust eachother with everything. if ya go into a relationship for the 'feeling' of it, you're gonna crash and burn, cuz the feeling never lasts the whole relationship. it fades after the honeymoon period, and fluctuates as life happens.
Well, when I started it, I intended it to run for a few months at most. And then it just kept getting more complex.
I've expected to conclude the arc for each of the past four years.
