Pang came to the mountains in job to hunt for a rogue that was causing disparity among the land, his magic seen as needed to hunt the vile man

Chief: you have your mission now find and kill him as you see fit

Pang: are you sure he seems very Docile and kind

Chief: must you question this, you know your job and do it

Pang: as you wish leader

Looking to the summit he felt an urge of wrongness coming from the notion. The man in the poster was gentle in his eyes but they showed much hatred as well

Pang: okay lets do this I can’t hold back just cause of a feeling

Going to a village he finds many sick and hurt. Going to a small child he holds him offering help

Pang: little one what’s wrong?

Child: were sick, the water been tainted by him......so many lost

Pang: the bear?

Child: no.....he....helps....us

The child lay in his arms his body stiff as he sees many being taken away as he follows suit to a mortuary seeing medics gathering and listens

Medic: he’s the only hope we have. That man fucked us up we can’t go on like this

Patient: the bear really has come for us, he’s working day and night to save as many as he can fixing the potions but it’s not enough

Medic: I’m sorry we can’t do more, your son passed this morning

Pang: passed, so this area is plagued.

The medic meets his gaze and ushers him outside

Medic: you must be from far away this place is not suited for new comers

Pang: I’m on a assignment to find a bear

Medic: kurisu, he’s our healer.....

Pang: has also a wanted criminal

Medic: please don’t. He hasn’t killed anyone

Pang: yet

Medic: he came here months ago to help us and worked for the good of the people

Going out his way he reaches the woods and sees a bear with a sash over his eyes and a staff on his back gathering herbs and watches closely

Kurisu: come on there has to be more....I can’t let them die

Forging magic he prepares and attack and launches it only to see it deflected by the staff weilding by kurisu and looking at him intently

Kurisu: I know your there now show yourself!!!!

Pang comes out seeing kurisu tired and exhausted but holding his ground clutching the herbs and goes forward

Pang: at need of the chief he asked me to kill you.

Kurisu: that man.....he’s caused more harm in this world than thought

Pang: how so?

Kurisu: people die and he sits in his room waiting for them to perish!!!!

Pang: did you cause the water to be tainted?

Kurisu: do I look insane......he dumped bodies into it for the sake of a grave and now everyone is being taken cause of it

Pang looks seeing sorrow in Kurisu eyes and goes over and pats his shoulder

Pang: but you did kill his men.....

Kurisu: yes with my staff, that is my sin to bear but I won’t let him kill others for his own gain

Pang: why?

Kurisu: he has my brother, he killed my people and turned every primal being into a slave of his own volition

Pang: I thought you were the last

Kurisu: yes I was adopted by the wolves, he killed my father in cold blood and enslaved my brothers......I work to bring him down and set them free

Pang: then why stay instead of moving forward

Kurisu: because I can’t ignore the call of those who need help, I care for all human and primal alike......I won’t let them all die

Pang hugs him as the get back to the village and go to the lab and start working on potions, some herbs from his homeland help create Kurisu new potion and starts making dozens for all

Soon the people get better as Kurisu gather the dead for a mass funeral

Pang: you really know this essence of reality

Kurisu: they did not deserve to die, they were young but now at least they can rest easy

Pang: your cremating then?

Kurisu: best effort to stop the spread

Lighting the pyre they watch the dead be laid to rest as they gaze at the flames. The following day the two enter a pass as an elf enters and looks at Kurisu

Kurisu: as can be saleh, let’s move forward

*Pang was walking around when he sees a panda named Kovu walking to his path*
Kovu: Hey there, long time no see.
Pang: Must be the utter amount of walking and training in the woods I did.
Kovu: I could rather tell, you sure love to keep on going no matter what.
Pang: I walk hundreds of miles every day, keeps me in good shape.
Kovu: Think it is worth all of that, there is a sauna nearby in the outside if we can join.
Pang: Oh, how much does it cost may I ask?
Kovu: Only 700 yen. (Which is around $6.40 though I could be wrong)
Pang: That sounds cheap, must be nearby in a cabin.
Kovu: Sure, because the sun blooms brightly today.
Pang: Then let's go and enjoy it, could use a relaxation.

Pang: On to the next major town.
Me: It's a ways from here but we'll manage, right?
Pang: Yes. I'm actually glad I got you to travel with me.
Me: Don't mention it. We compliment each other. You needed some rear support and you protect me from getting hurt.
Pang: Right.
Me: I dunno really. It seemed like fate brought us together when we first met at the tavern.
Pang: *blush* R-really?...
Me: Yeah... and it was like we meant to meet there.
Pang: I... see... Ahem! Well let us be off then.
Me: Okay!
Pang: And... *blush* Stay close to me or embrace my arm if you want to.
Me: *blush and smile* Really??
Pang: Yes. Now let's move. We're wasting daylight.
Me: *hug* Okay! Let's go!

In the forest, Pang was doing his daily walk.

???: "Pang!"
Pang: "Hmm?"

Puggi run toward him.

Puggi: "Why didn't you tell me, you were going on your walk?"
Pang: "I told you, but you didn't listen..."
Puggi: "I was listening."
Pang: "Then, why did you not respond?"
Puggi: "I was thinking."
Pang: "You... thinking... that can't be good."
Puggi: "Hey! The protagonist is always thinking!"
Pang: "And... what were you thinking?"
Puggi: "If we were going to see that girl again?"
Pang: "You mean Sharice? I wonder..."
Puggi: "It's looks there is a lot of problem going on."

Puggi: "Come on, as a protagonist, and you as my sidekick. We will stop everything."

Pang sighed, and started to walk away.

Puggi: "Don't leave me."
Pang: "I do not wish to go in war again."
Puggi: "But... if they attack us!"
Pang: "That would be a different. I do not want to go to war, but I don't want to lose the people I care about. Then... if war come to us, and we don't have a choice... I will fight."
Puggi: "And you can count on me, to save the day!"
Pang: "Or getting into problem..."

Pand, and Puggi both continued their walk in the forest, without knowing if the war was going to get them or not.
