i wanted to do something inspired by the cutest magical girl mermaids like from mermaid melody which i read like 2 volumes maybe when i was a kid and actually BOUGHT manga.....(well had my parents buy me manga hahahahahaha) and i wanted to mix that together with siren lore! which i know hardly anything abt bc it's not my particular aesthetic....but hey they eat ppl right...
