Thanks for the compliments, and nope, it wasn't intentional at all. In fact, I hadn't seen any of your art until now and had to take the mature filter off just to see what you were talking about. :) Though, I can definitely see what you mean - they are basically doing the same thing! I can assure you, though, that Albus didn't supply any reference images or direction on the pose other than "he should look somewhat annoyed as he explains something that should be obvious." The rest was up to my own direction, and the only picture that I referenced was this: http://www.disney-facts.com/files/images/73.gif ...and I drew several pose sketches which I passed by a couple of friends for opinions. This ended up being my favorite composition. Great minds, maybe?

And since you're so well-known in the Meerkat circle I was pretty stoked to see that you'd commented... but I guess we've managed to get off on the wrong foot. I hope that there aren't any hard feelings between us, as I'm always happy to meet another Meerkat/Timon fan.
