Silent Scream
posted 7 years ago Yeen in a Trench Coat | Support me with Shinies!
"Just let me be
Who I am
It's what you really need to understand
And I hope so hard for the pain to go away
And it's torturing me
But I can't break free
So I cry and cry but just won't get it out
The silent scream
My silent scream."
Silent Scream by Anna Blue
Just a little drawing for National Coming Out Day tomorrow.
This is a gift for my friend Skizaero, we're in somewhat similar situations, as we're both Christians who came out this year (her as bisexual, I as genderfluid and biromantic), but only to the internet and certain people irl. Even though it's rather clear that neither of us is "normal" (cishet), there are certain people in our lives who wouldn't accept us if we came out to them, so even with our hearts on our sleeves, we have to pretend that a part of who we are doesn't exist. It seems like a small thing, but it hurts to have to refer to the LGBT community as "they," when in reality, it's "we."
We are.
