Did not expect Tate and Lemon to show up, well played. Always I've had a few encounters of the sort with my own characters (including some that I've yet to transcribe into the page.)

Have to agree that most television programs are pretty crap these days and whatever good ones are there usually aren't worth watching when they first air due to the rampant adverts. There was something special about those earlier programs, its difficult to put one's finger on, only started thinking about it when I was watching Andy Griffith the other day.

In Andy Griffith's case, it was the innocence. In a lot of the others, they were developing from the old radio plays where everything had to be spelled & talked out. That and the writers were not trying to change society.

For the reasons you mention and more I watch little if any TV (and I don't go to movies because I can't help muttering 'bullshit!' at all the wrong things they'll do ...)

I must firmly declare myself in the "This is why I don't watch television anymore" camp. I'm not the sharpest pickle in the cookie box, but most anything I try to watch now does its best to insult my intelligence.

I really enjoy it when your characters visit you like this. The interplay is always enjoyable. Plus we get to learn a little bit more about you and your characters.

try watching a show called 'Mysteries of the Museum' - it's great! One narrator and actors who don't speak - they're just for looks. You actually learn stuff and it's interesting as all get out.
