Sparring session, or fight over who's cooking dinner tonight? You decide!
Haven't been much active this a week, so I sketched this up real quick. I rarely do full on action shots, so I sorta like how it turned out, although there are a few things I want to improve on. I'll probably give this a proper inking job sometime down the line.
If anyone wants to give some constructive criticism before I do, please feel free. I can't put my finger on it, but something about Tidus' pose feels off to me.

Great job! You're really improving from your first drawings long ago.
I'd just say two anatomic details on Kimahri, the face is perfect, as well as the torso (Or maybe the torax need to be a little wider?), but noticed that he has significantly more musculated legs, the left one is so skinny XD

Thanks to you, sir! Looking at it now, yeah, Kimahri's neck does seem a little too long from the way his shoulders are tensed up... as for the left leg, do you mean the left one from our perspective, or his actual left leg? Because for his actual left one, his ceremonial loincloth is partly in front of it, kinda blocking a full view. Might not be too apparent in sketch form, I guess. :P
As you specifically requested critique I was going to mention a couple of things but others have already pointed the things I noticed out anyway, so the department of redundancy department prevents me from saying anything Not to mention not being an artist myself I always feel vaguely guilty in saying anything at all.
But it IS good work, they are sexy characters and their sparring does give this scene a good feel of action to it. Nice to see you illustrating a scene from your story (I presume?). I envy you in not just being a good writer, but someone skilled with being able to bring their own scenes to life like this

Tidus may look off do to the length of his left knee. I need to do this myself, but a good tip may be to use one of those posable dolls for more complex compositions like this. Foreshortening is a bitch and if one doesn't have the mind for it, they'll need a model!
(that's not meant as an insult. I definitely don't have the mind to manipulate 3-D wireframes. :(

Thanks, and no, not offended at all. It's true that that's something I have to work on, so yeah, maybe picking up one of 'em dolls might be a good investment. (I meant to buy one on an occasion or two, but the price always scared me off, wanting to wait for a sale or something. I'm cheap like that. :P)

Yeah, the leg thing has been what people have been pointing out to me... funny how I drew the damn thing, and yet it takes you guys to point out something that, for me, should have been glaringly obvious. *bangs head on desk*
Thanks! Though, mind you, when I say "Quick sketch", I mean that I pretty well sketched this out while watching the Office wedding episode and a few shows beforehand, so, I can't say if about an hour and a half of occasionally sketching and looking up at the tv qualifies as "quick". :P

Weeeeeeellll, I imagine that Kimahri is holding back just a little... it IS just a sparring session after all. Although I like to think that Tidus HAS made a enough progress to be giving the big guy a run for his gil.

"Pays no attention to Tidus"? But how can you enjoy watching the fight while mentally blocking out one of the combatants? Without him, all you've got is Kimahri thursting, jutting and kicking around shirtlessly, snarling and flexing his...

His kicking leg is a bit too far twisted inward and that arm above it is very much too far twisted back behind his body. Beyond the physical pain Tidus would be in from doing this (especially when he lands) He's extremely vulnerable to a counterattack from Kimahri.
Beyond that, this is an extremely nice job and I love the epxressions on the faces of Tidus and Kimahri. It definitely looks like a sparring session that's either turned into a "Wrestle for top" or "Loser cooks dinner tonight" situation. Love it!

I can't say for sure where this fight is going to end up... either with smex, with cooking duties, or possibly, like in the old Batman shows, it could just randomly turn into a gogo dance number. :P

I think this is excellent! I have to agree Tidus' right arm and calf are a little awkward and the extended foot should be more of a side view like the rest of the leg, but this is real good. I love the tension between them and the rage in Tidus' face that is just shot down by the big ronso's taunting smile. Very nice work on Kimahri's chest and stomach (so what if there's more to his oufit?) I'm expecting Kimahri to deflect the little blitzball player away with the flick of a finger. I imagine this leads to a lot of angry sex.

The shirtless decision was made both on account of the fact that I figure that after an intense few hours of training, they'd get all hot and want to take off their upper garments, and also because I was a little lazy in drawing them. (And, okay, yes, because it's just bit smexier that way. :P)
And, Tidus might just surprise you, with all the experience he's been gaining as a result of his training... of course, Kimahri will still win, but it'll require a bit more than his finger. :P
Then again, if you're right and this DOES lead to... *ehem*... well, he COULD still get him into submission if he were to use that finger right. >:)
