Another species that shows up later are the dogs. They show up on the borders of the crows and cats regions, however without the crows intervention, they evolved into a very brutal and patriarchal society in which the females are reduced to nothing but breeding vessels. This, along with the fact that the dogs came in all shapes and sizes, caused great contention with the cat's matriarchal society and, at best, both cat and dog relations are frosty. At worst, both sides consider each other weak, resulting in brutal and bloody warfare which requires crow mediators to end.

While the regions the dogs populate are lacking in metal, they make use of the leather they can get from the deers in their forests. What little metal they have they make chain mail armor to give to their strongest and best fighters as they are clearly a more valuable asset to their warlords than the regular soldiers.
