Now the mice are an anomaly in this world! They grew up as almost beasts of burden under the cat society when the crows recognized they had sapience as well. With the crows occupying the same status as the Holy See during the Crusades, the cats had no choice but to release most of their mice to the crows to be uplifted and civilized.

The mice also have a wide variety of civilized development. Some are almost on par with the other metal working civilizations while others are still very agrarian and prefer to buy their armor and weapons from the crows at a discounted price. However for what they lack in size and individual strength they make up for in numbers and their ability to quickly replenish their numbers.
