“Days come and go…but my feelings for you are forever!” the radio blared.
Trevor woke up slowly, his vision and senses came to him slowly. He shuddered, his body was chilled. He sat up and looked around his empty room. No one was in the room with him. He suddenly realized with a little jump what happened the night before. He filled with dread that he had scared away Lynn for she wasn’t next to him.
He turned towards the end of the bed and planted his feet on the ground. It was cold as well, his ears perked back ‘What’s wrong with the temperature today?’ he thought miserably. He stood up and swayed slightly the night before still had his head spinning. He opened up his door and leaned forward forcing himself out of the cold room. “Lynn?” he shouted out in the open air, it filled with hoping that another voice would answer him.
He rubbed his shoulders and listened to his teeth chatter as he walked into the living room, he focused his attention on the couch that let everything happen last night. He felt a growing anger at it, feeling as it was the fault that Lynn wasn’t answering. He walked towards it and inhaled the smell that it gave off; He blushed and turned quickly grabbed a Lysol can, he sprayed it toward the couch hoping that the smell would diminish. When he put it back on the top if the TV where it was currently, he sniffed taking a large breath of the aroma. His embarrassment didn’t vanish even though the smell was gone. He went to his knees and looked at the couch cushion; there was a large white sticky mark on it. He went red, his lips mouthed the word “Sperm” he got to his feet and went to the cleaning cabinet that a couple weeks ago, Razor put together.
He got a towel and some soapy water. He kneeled again and began to work on it closing his eyes and silently cursed himself. His ears laid on the back of his head; he wasn’t paying attention to the sound of a door slamming.
Lynn set the groceries on the table and began to put them away. When she rose from putting cereal away in the bottom cabinets she saw Trevor. A confused look spread on her face as she too shuddered from the cold. She walked up to him and tried to see what he was doing. “How could I make a mess?!” Trevor muttered irritably. Lynn turned her head and saw what he was working at; she turned red but started to giggle.
Trevor heard this and spun around knocking Lynn off her feet. He was relieved that she was there. He looked at the kitchen and saw that there was groceries, he felt stupid for thinking the way he was. “Sorry” he barked quickly as he spun back around and finished removing the stain.
“Trevor…” Lynn was giggling a little harder now “You can’t always make sure that you don’t make a mess when you…” she blushed “You’re silly” Trevor sighed and leaned back on the couch throwing the towel in the bucket completely.
He decided to change the subject “Why is it so cold?” he hugged his knees desperate for some warmth. Lynn shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. “I really don’t know, living in an apartment really sucks doesn’t it?” Trevor nodded “Yeah, I’m going to have to talk Razor about that later”
Lynn nodded and smiled “Anyway, Sorry for not leaving a note. I forgot while I was going to go buy us for some food.” She smiled “You really do need to stock up every once in a while” Trevor sighed “Sorry” though he really wasn’t. He wasn’t always in his house so he usually ate out. But he understood her concern and smiled anyway.
Lynn suddenly jumped up and turned a nasty color of yellow. She ran to the bathroom and hurled her guts out into the toilet. Trevor was alarmed and jumped up and ran after her. Holding her hair out of her face, he panted “What’s wrong?” his heart was beating hard.
Lynn was done and she wiped her face with a ratty towel and then brushed her teeth. She was a pale green now. Trevor was nervous and was worried that she was sick.
“What have you eaten lately?” Trevor’s voice broke the silence. Lynn looked at him, her eyes soft. Trevor looked into her eyes. “Trevor, I think I might be pregnant” Trevor eyes widened. “You’re pulling my leg right?” he laughed nervously. Lynn went to the kitchen and sat in a chair hanging her head in her hands. “No I’m afraid not, but to be sure I’m going to have to go and take a test to make sure if it’s for true or not” her voice was calm.
Trevor leaned on the wall and sighed “How could this happen?!” Lynn looked up a hurt expression was planted on her face “We had sex Trevor” she snarled “Without protection” Trevor looked at her horrified he never saw her angry. Lynn stood up “I’m going to the drug store to go and buy a test I’ll be back later” she stood up and slammed the door behind her.
Trevor leaned on the wall with his back. His eyes slid to the floor as he tried figure out what he had said wrong. “Women, I will never understand them” sighing he pushed himself off the wall and put away the rest of the groceries he knew that he really didn’t need.
He stopped when he came across a birthday card for Razor. The card was smooth which was quite odd for paper it felt almost like silk. He looked at the cover its color was bright silver but no words where upon the card. He opened it and a happy voice erupted from inside it, he instantly realized it was Lynn’s. “Happy Birthday Buddy! I hope you have a great one!” then there was a giggle and the sound stopped.
He ran his finger along the side of the card pressing slightly. He winced when he got a paper cut. ‘Its paper alright’ he thought as he pressed his finger to his lips almost kissing it. He closed the card and saw that it a picture of the gang dancing. He rubbed his eyes and realized what the card was. “Hologram” he said aloud.
He opened it again and looked at the written message.
Lots of Love,
~Lynn~,
Trevor realized that the comma was there so he could sign it; he pulled a pen out of the drawer and signed it.
Lots of Love,
~Lynn~,
Lots of Brotherly Love,
-Trevor-
He smirked at his add on and put the card on the counter. He looked to the last bag and put the contents away, remembering Lynn’s anger finally got to him; he didn’t feel well. ‘She looked angry’ his eyes glazed with worry. ‘And hurt’ he thought hard.
‘But she looked like she wasn’t very happy about it’ He sighed and frowned trying to push the thought to the back of his mind. The phone began to ring interrupting the silence that was floating in the apartment. He trotted into the hallway between the kitchen and living room and picked up the receiver.
“Hello, Trevor is speaking” he held the cordless and walked into the living room and sat himself on the couch. “Trevor? Um… Did you and Lynn do anything special recently?” Tori’s voice crackled over the phone it was worried. “Why do you ask?” Trevor threw another question back at her not really wanting to answer. “Because, I saw her walking out of the drugstore crying and she was carrying a Peggy Test”
Trevor’s heart sunk, he had made her cry. “Yes, we did, I think I hurt her feelings” he sighed. “How?!” Tori’s voice was really worried now. “She said that she might be pregnant and I guess my reaction hurt her” was Trevor’s embarrassed reply.
“What exactly did you say? Or React?” Tori’s voice was scorning now. “I was surprised and asked how it happened” Tori’s voice was slick “Maybe she wants it Trevor, We all know she loves you madly” there was a small pause as if for a reaction but Trevor had none so she continued. “But the question is, do you love her? I mean. You did have sex with her right? And if you want the child” Trevor sighed “I don’t know” Tori gave another sigh to mock his “Well you’re going to have to figure yourself out Trevor otherwise you just might loose the only thing that has been giving you a memory to keep” She stopped again “The feeling of Love. And Lynn”
Trevor was going to answer when he was again interrupted “Well I have a party to get ready for so I have to go. Good Luck” Trevor managed out a “Bye” before he heard her receiver go offline. Trevor hung up the phone then went and took a shower. He was expecting Lynn to come home, but then maybe she wouldn’t. He couldn’t stand not knowing.
Pulling on clean clothes Trevor walked back into his living room. The temperature had proberly been fixed because it wasn’t cold anymore, Lynn had been gone for more then two hours now.
Trevor couldn’t help it, but he started to cry. He cried out his worry for his relationship with Lynn, which had just started the night before. He knew he felt strongly for Lynn, he wasn’t sure about her feelings back though. He also cried because he was going to be a father. He barely knew where he came from or who he really was. He wanted to know who he was before he forgot his memory.
He was about to grab his coat and leave when Lynn slammed the door open and stormed to the bathroom. Her eyes glanced toward him once, and they weren’t angry anymore. They looked more worried then angry.
Trevor trotted over to the bathroom door which was closed, and waited. He heard a few of Lynn’s sniffs and shudders. When she walked in she was drenched, ‘It must be raining’ Trevor thought. He began to pace back and forth, he felt as though he was waiting for his wife or woman to give birth. He wandered back into his bedroom and sat down and leaned his elbows on his knees and held his head in his hands.
Lynn walked in a few minutes later, her expression looked sorry now. “I have to wait a few minutes for the test to be complete” she walked forward she seemed unsure of herself. Trevor patted the place next to him on the bed signaling her to sit down. She sat down and looked to him “Look...” Trevor interfered “No…No…Lynn I shouldn’t have acted the way I did. I should have expected something like this would happen without…” he fell silent because Lynn had wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his, kissing him firmly.
She pulled away and started to speak “I overreacted; I know you didn’t mean what you said to be mean.” She sighed “I was just so scared, that you wouldn’t want to be with me anymore if I was bearing your child” Trevor sighed “Same here.” Lynn eyes widened “Trevor, I love you I would never leave you just because you gave me a large but great burden” she sighed “Besides we could be making a large problem out of something that probably isn’t true” Trevor nodded in agreement.
Lynn stood up and walked out of the room, Trevor followed pursuit. He followed her into the bathroom. Lynn picked up the test and closed her eyes and lifted it up to Trevor’s eyes “I can’t bear to look” she paused “If its green I’m pregnant if its black I’m not” Trevor focused his eyes on the test it was counting down from 10.
His stomach began to ache as the suspense grew in the room. He opened his eyes and looked at the color that had taken over the tests screen. It was the color of the vixen before him. “You’re…” Lynn opened her eyes and stared at him “I’m what?” Trevor couldn’t help but smile “I’m going to be a daddy” Lynn looked at the test she smiled faintly. “Wow” she paused “There’s a living thing inside of me” Trevor nodded but had to ask a question “It’s only been a day, how is that possible? To know” Lynn shrugged “I don’t really know”
Trevor sighed and suddenly he felt mentally exhausted, his brain hurt. He walked to his bedroom and fell on the bed sighing. Lynn was in the doorway, “I’m going to go, I have to get home someday” she laughed and walked over to him bending over she kissed him lightly. He gave her a tight hug and nodded “Goodnight Lynn” Lynn nodded back and smirked “Goodnight my love” she turned and walked out and into the hall way. She grabbed her coat and opened the door before her. She walked to the elevator and took it down. She was rubbing her stomach as she walked into the hard rain; she looked up and smirked at the clouds. She always had loved the rain. She pulled up her hood over her ears pressing them down against her head; she began to trot forward thumbing for a cab. She stopped when she realized that she could fly and decided to do just that.
She began to spin her tails and soon was hovering in the air. She sped forward heading towards her home.
Trevor stood up and decided to eat something it was around two in the afternoon by now. He seemed to prance to the kitchen as he pulled out some of the food that somehow he was grateful, that Lynn had brought for him. He helped himself to large bowl of Cheerios.
As he munched on his cereal he turned on the TV. Clicking through the channels he fell upon a show with Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy. He set down the controller and watched intently.
“Welcome back to Jerry Springer!” the show blared a human appeared on the screen who Trevor knew as Jerry Springer. His ears perked back, he never liked humans. Though Humans hadn’t done anything to him recently something about them made his fur stand on end. He leaned back and let the show continue on. “Now before the break, we were discussing the problem between Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy the Hedgehog” Jerry stepped back as The Pink Hedgehog stepped forward she had a large stomach. “How could you Sonic?!” her face was curled up in a snarl. Sonic just crossed his arms and scoffed “You bore me” The crowd booed. Amy pointed to her stomach and snapped “well I must not THAT much other I wouldn’t be bearing your child!” Sonic turned a pale pink in his cheek area “I was boozed!” he lied obviously. Jerry interfered, “now! You two! What exactly did Sonic do?” Amy perked up her snout her long pink hair moved to her backside “I found him in bed with Rouge!” her voice wavered slightly. Sonic shouted back trying to defend himself “Well she was begging me!” Amy lurched forward but was held back by Jerry. Defeated in trying to kill him she shouted “To what? Leave her be? So finally you had to pay her money to get what you wanted?!” the audience gasped in awe. Jerry backed away when Amy stomped on his foot. She grabbed her hammer and tackled Sonic.
The Screen went black, and then popped back up. The people who stood there weren’t Sonic and Amy.
Trevor knew them from somewhere, but this wasn’t a news station bringing some sad news. “Trevor?” a black vixen spoke her voice was melodious. “Is that you?” she had dark glasses on her head so he could see her bright purple eyes. Trevor was astonished; “Uh… yeah?” he sat up setting his cereal on the coffee table. “Jeremy this is the right one!” she called over to an area off the set. “What?! We finally got the right TV?” there was a sound of glass crashing. A blue fox fell into a chair and looked towards him. His red eyes shimmered happily.
Trevor was so confused it showed. “What? Are you guys doing on my TV?” The girl laughed “We’re not on it, we’re in it silly!” she smiled as Jeremy rolled his eyes. “To put it straight to the point, we need you back Trev” Jeremy leaned forward his eyes were blazing. Trevor squeezed his eyes shut not believing what he saw. After a few moments he opened them seeing that they were still there. Jeremy looked irritated “So will you come back?” the black vixen giggled “We’re still here stupid”
“Who are you guys?” Trevor asked a little spooked. Jeremy frowned “They weren’t kidding when they said he hit his head so hard that he lost his memory” the girl nodded her expression went serious “We still need him back though Jer” Jeremy nodded in agreement “Yeah I know Kelly” his attention turned back to Trevor “So, if you want to remember who you were” he paused smiling “Come to the Warehouse downtown near the shore, you’ll know it when you see it” Trevor still in awe that he could figure out himself nodded numbly. The two laughed and went off-screen just in time for the credits of the show. Sonic was badly beaten laying next to Amy who was out cold, not one since of a hit was on her. Trevor half wished he could of saw what had happened.
