Greetings everyone, so here's a supporting character that has perhaps one of my favorite designs so far: Centurion Veritas. The original concept designed by
Tabia and adjusted, adapted and improved by the main artist
BodyxCount.
Veritas is a character that shows up in the middle of the script, essentially she starts out as a Centurion who's become comfortable with sentry and guard duty and had more or less forgotten and shirked off her main purpose as a mercenary soldier.
However when Griggs discovers a suspicious area devoid of law enforcement possibly engaging in large scale trafficking Veritas and her squad of legionaries are reluctantly pressed into service and are thrown into a scenario that tests whether they have the Volterran legion spirit, or if they are soldiers in name only.
I had originally planned on simplifying the design that Tabia originally created, but I think we ended up keeping it about as complex as it was before, if not adding a few things here and there. This character will certainly be a pain to animate, that much if for sure, I think when I get to the legionaries I'm going to simplify their designs quite a bit.
For anyone wondering why the character is so "Greco-Roman" looking, the Volterrans are supposed to be kinda a modern take on what a society might have looked like if the Classical powers never fell to barbarians and then were shaped by more modern technologies and concepts like Mass Media and Corporations. The Volterrans are also supposed to be the opposite of the Soldiens, more individualistic and capitalism focused.
Anyway, I'm kinda running out of things to post here, what you've been seeing the last few days is me finally getting around to rendering and posting my backlog; However now I'm kinda stuck drawing action poses (which I can't really preview without ruining them later). I'll try and see if I can have a concept art commissioned in the near future to give you guys something cool to look at, though it might be a while.
Regardless, let me know what you guys think. Enjoy!

Thanks, that's high praise indeed.
I always figured the legion uniforms in Fallout New Vegas were kinda improvised, since they looked a bit like football armor and all.
It actually took me a while to get the "look" right for the Volterrans, they went through a few design reworks before I found an armor/uniform style I liked.
Regardless, thanks for the comment!
