Description

Not everything in nature is tranquil and harmonious. The gnarlbane spirits are a perfect example of this. These vicious creatures are known to descend upon unwary travelers who wander to deep into the woods, ripping them to shreds. These vile monstrosities delight in the suffering of flesh-based humanoids, seeming to feel righteous in destroying mortals. These monsters are known to be exceedingly old, older than most of the mortal races. These beasts slaughter mainly in the name of the wild, as they see blood and bone as a direct affront to nature. Aside from these plant-based creatures bizarre anti-mortal superiority complex, they are known to simply enjoy inflicting suffering. Although these creatures should be avoided at all costs, the horn-like branches on their heads are known to be perfect for making magical channeling items, such as wands and staves. However, only the most seasoned of monster hunters, or lumberjacks, should attempt to defeat these vicious creatures.
