He can go for about thirty minutes before he dies from lack of oxygen.

I used to think the bunnies nose was like, a little smile, no lie.

How do you think I see? The nose is mesh and the range of visibility is very narrow.

It had a pair of other hands with batons, but the batons wouldn't come out and the other hands were permanent fists and hard to use when you took photos.

Your only vision was through the NOSE mesh ?!? WOW...great field of vision. How many previous bunnies perished by falling to their doom.

It's a potentially dangerous situation. You have no peripheral vision and need to turn left or right... wham! You smack someone with the drum. I had to turn very slowly to make sure I didn't hit anyone.

Naw... it isn't bad to say that. I try to adapt to the suit, and if it was easier to wear, I wouldn't mind wearing it a lot.

He just happens to be a very cuddly shape (much like you) If it weren't for the drum, I'd give you huggy hugs, and more huggy hugs and hugs!

I am glad you said suit. Where abouts do you live? They might have an event up there that you could apply for. Also, how tall are you?

I live in the Southern part of New England, in CT. I've never been a mascot or wore a fursuit (never even seen one IRL) before, so it might be a neat thing to try!

You would fit in the suit. I think it was 5'6" to 6'. I lived in New Britain for a year, but that was way back in 1971/2. You should try wearing a fursuit before buying one or attempting to mascot. The experience is invaluable. Some people cannot handle wearing a suit. It is very hot, usually, and movement in one takes some getting used to. If you do fursuit, your first try should not be longer than about fifteen to twenty minutes. Drink some extra fluid before putting your suit on. Don't worry about having to pee, you will sweat the fluids out. I've been suiting about nine years and not once have I ever had an uncontrollable urge to pee. Use a handler the first time, too. Your vision will be limited somewhat. If you do get a mascot gig, there are rules to follow normally. You are representing a company. You have to be mindful of how and where you mascot. You don't want to be caught hanging out with a competitor's mascot. lol. You need to be mindful of hand placement. You don't want a sexual harassment case by inadvertent touching. You should NEVER pick up, hold, or touch a child anywhere that even be construed as wrong. No children on your knee, no holding a child. Limit it to maybe a handshake, high five, or fist bump. No photos of you partially in suit. That would get you fired or maybe even sued. No "breaking the magic" in public unless absolutely unavoidable... like having a heat stroke or something. Pay varies from gig to gig and whether you are the handler or the mascot. You might try being a handler first to see how it goes. Hopefully you will get an experienced mascot performer to mentor you. If not, you can always talk to me. Give me a watch if you wish. I will always answer notes.

I too recently encountered this bunny, and I agree, it's a difficult one. My back did protest the next day.

It did bother my back some. I don't think you wore the same suit though. The suit we had was brand new. Did you have the same problem with the air supply in the head and didit have a metal brace for the drum worn under the suit?

The RL answer to that would be that the costume has to make a lot of appearances, so the sandals are pretty much necessary to keep the suit clean and keep it from wearing out too fast.

Not really. You could give a "side" hug. The Bunny has to keep those paws showing and not put them anywhere that may seem inappropriate.
