Thank you. These places are in greater numbers than you might imagine. You usually have to put some focus into research, be it online or otherwise. People seem to pay more attention to the next American Idol, or what movies are playing (which are all fine). I spend a good amount of my time researching and photographing these old, broken buildings. ;) See where the interest is lost for most? Haha.

Thanks! Oddly enough, there is a red beacon at the very top of the tower, but you can't see it from beneath, even in real time. You have to step back quite a distance.

Absolutely! *Lick-back* ;) Heights and I don't play well together. Although, if there were something at the top..

I think this one was maybe 3.5 minutes at F10? I don't have the exif info in front of me. The red beacons pulsed slowly, which is why they're not over exposed.

Hehe. I know, I've been tempted to climb many such things before as well. :P

And pulsing beacons are a photographer's best friend when it comes to light sources and long exposures. ;)

Actually...I just noticed...you took this unfiltered...huh?

I did. The only filter I own is the infrared, and this would have been a 30+ minute exposure for even a hint of a photo at that aperture. :3 Standard lens exposure.

Ya know...you really should invest in at least a UV or a Skylight filter...it'll help protect the glass on the lens if nothing else...
