Do you sometimes feel like four-legged characters aren't explored much in fiction and art? I mean, there are taurs of various sorts, but the more "feral" characters don't seem to get much love outside of animated kids movies. Which kinda annoys me. Even MLP had to figure out some of the problems inherent to a race devoid of hands, though sometimes they just threw magic at it. Or didn't address it at all, because Cartoon Horses. =P
Ironic that it was MLP fanfics that have dealt with the problems more seriously. The (in)famous Fallout: Equestria had firearms that allowed even non-unicorns to shoot via tongue-activated triggers (though good luck finding fanart of them; most people skip them over for their awful looks), and no doubt others have tried to address such things. It's made me want to explore it, and I ended up creating a race of sapient wolves to help with that. They're not exactly "nice" or even good, but they do respect those who display a fair amount of competence and strength. And since they live in a sci-fi universe, they've got technology to help them in a pinch.
Maybe when I get some decent income again I can look into commissioning you. =) I think you'd do a decent job depicting my two protagonists from my Blood, Steel, and Stars series. I really hope I can get it written soon. Think I got a winner here.
