hello! I can burn on anything made of non painted/lacquered wood. results are the best if the item is made of soft wood (wood from deciduous trees).
I live in Poland so shipping cost may be pretty high, but I don't know. I pay around 5$ to ship and item outside my country. it all depends on a weight of the item. ofc it's the best to mail as registered letter, not as package because it's more expensive :)

Sometimes it's clearly visible, but best way to tell if a wood is painted is to touch it and look in a clear light.
Lacquered wood is glossy, smooth and a little slippy, and unpainted can be dry, mat, when you touch it You feel it a little...rugged?
