Trolley Photos (1978)-1
Digging around in my shed, I came up with some happysnaps I took at the Buckingham Valley Trolley Association museum out in the Philly suburbs circa November, 1978.
The two trolleys together are a pair of 1923 Philadelphia "Peter Witt" cars, 8042 (with wings) and 8534 (without). The double-ended car is PRT/PTC 5205.
All of these cars have been relocated to various museums; 8534 actually saw service back on SEPTA rails for fantrips up into the 1990s.

Ah, the local rails. I can remember when there was the remnants of a rail line running right up the street in front of my house (I live in the ABE area, about 90 minutes north of Philly, so we got some of the Philadelphia light rail). The field at the end of my street used to have some old rail ties. All gone now, replaced by strip malls and McMansion developments.
