So, this was another intermediate drawing piece of work. We did ~3 hours of work on Monday, introducing us to watercolors. I'd post some of those, but they're not really animal or furry related, just flowers and such things. I expect to post them on my DA eventually.
Anyway, Wednesday my teacher was sick, so she gave us water color paper to take home, and to bring back a painting on Monday. So this is my 2nd time ever using watercolors. On that, I am pretty happy with it, though otherwise, i think it looks mediocre. I'm happy with it though, i think my teacher's goign to bitch i didn't use the nature of watercolor enough in it, though. She states I use them too exactly, more like oil/acrylic paint, instead of water color. XD
All in all, I really love the composition. Tail feathers could be better. otherwise, i'm satisfied. :B
Poor, so this might appear on furbuy :B

Well, I like it and I still your teacher is an idiot in saying that watercolors has to look a certain way. I've seen amazing watercolors that were everything from the blotchy, watery, smear that she seems to want down to so amazingly intricate that it looks like a photograph. Just like oils, you can get thick, textured, daubs of paint or smooth and detailed. Da Vinci vs. Monet yo :p
One of my fav watercolor artists is Stephanie Pui-Mun Law - http://puimun.deviantart.com/
I love her artwork.
One of the nice things with watercolors is that you can lay it down all blotchy and them come in later to do more detailed stuff and layer on top of it. The transparency with watercolors can be pretty awesome. :D
