This is a sketch cover I did for my book Weight And See. It shows Ricky and the Gang posing for a shot. Dobbins is giving Ricky a noogie, Toasty is showing off his elephant trunk, Titi is looking about as happy as she can be in her beautiful cape and glasses, and master Tumba can't help but look down at the Hooligans with a bit of disappointment. And then... there is Titus yes. Ricky and his friends follow a lifestyle cold Sumotora, and Droopy, also known as Titus, is basically the difference between Sumotora and flat out obese.

I changed Ricky a bat. He is supposed to be a cross between a hedgehog and a prehensile tail porcupine, so I made his nose look more porcupine like and less Pig like. I also added Hedgehog quills to his tail because prehensile-tailed porcupines have quills on their tail. In addition, I removed Dobbins black belt since it was inaccurate to the Muay Thai lifestyle and replaced it with a more traditional and accurate armband. I did forget to draw his bandages. That was not a design change, that was a mistake.

For this book, I want to focus more on fun characters, heartwarming interactions and good storytelling and character development over the fact that the characters are fat. I do not want this to be a fat fur novel, just a Whimsical novel that happens to Star fat furs.
