Oh, now certainly you guys didn't think I would miss the opportunity to partake in neogeen's Cheshire Ball, did you? ;)
This is Dulcito ("Little Sweetie" in Spanish), and his description, as follows:
Despite his seemingly mischievous appearance, Dulcito is actually a rather sweet cheshire, with a sugar skull for a head. His duty is an important one, as he acts as a messenger between the realms of mortality and immortality. He takes responsibility for visiting the brightly-colored altars that are set up on Dia de los Muertos, by folks who come to the graveyards to celebrate the lives of lost loved ones, and collects the sentiments and messages to be brought back to the departed spirits in the Spirit World. He expects nothing in return, as he knows that his duty is both a noble and extremely valuable one.

Also, I recognize that there's another Day of the Dead-esque Cheshire, which is pretty sweet (the more the merrier! You all know I love to see more Dia de los Muertos art out there!), but that was definitely a coincidence, haha! I've had this guy planned up for awhile now. :)

I was actually thinking of offering 'em, and I'm pretty sure I will! (This week is ridiculously hectic, so once I tackle what I need to, I'll sort all the logistics out and toss up a journal offering commissions for pieces like these! :])
