Bio: Tsuri grew up in Vitriol, the same town as Kira, 30 miles outside the ruby dragon capital of Silgar. She was the lone daughter of the only family of Pferlines in the town, who ran a bakery In town. Kira and Tsuri has become instant friends, the two constantly running off and getting into trouble. Thier friendship only grew until Kira left Vitriol for the city, leaving Tsuri with no reason to stay herself.
Tsuri forged her own path to the large trading town of Akafalari, a five days walk to the west. She arrived to find the town overrun by bandits, who’d run out the local government and had taken up residence there. Tsuri, bring the brave and kind hearted person she was, tried to assassinate the leader of the clan, only to be defeated, beaten, then thrown into the woods to die. It was here a fundamental shift in her personality grew, and now she was fueled by a calm, patient, internal fury, one shed nurture until her return.
For six months Tsuri lived secretly in the woods, training herself to the point of exhaustion, getting her food from your wild and by raiding merchant caravans (always leaving I.O.U.s to the owners that she actually did eventually pay back). After she’d developed incredibly keen physical prowess and had an even stronger grip on her inane ability to turn minerals to hard steel, she prepared her second attack.
As Kira would have his famous “Night of Embers” that would make him irreversibly famous, Tsuri’s acts that coming night would become known as the “Crimson Massacre”. Within 6 hours, Tsuri systemically went through Akafalari and killed all 72 members of the bandit clan except their leader, who woke to find all his grunts with their throats slit, and his inner circle decapitated and hung from the towns steeple by their feet. Tsuri then climbed down from the steeple and challenged him in the town square. The fight was quick, and ended with Tsuri bashing the leaders face in with her shield, over and over until his blood had been flung all over the square. She’d killed every single one with a single bladed kite shield, and from then on she’d be known as the Shieldmaiden.
As fate would have it, Tsuri would Then love to Oddariya, the same city as Kira had moved to mere months before, and opened a shield smith and shop. They two would cross paths again not long after, and the Pferline would become the fourth and final permanent member of Kira’s Dungeoneering team. Tsuri can often be found socializing at one of the taverns near her store, or designing shields for wealthy patrons. After all, possessing a shield from the Shieldmaiden herself was no small thing to brag about!
