The arrival of the titan was forewarned by little else but light tremors greeting the waking people of the coast as the sun’s rising rays begun to sneak in over the horizon. Most would disregard these tremors at first, thinking them as little else but the bi-product of a busy city or early construction work, hardly anything to cause concerns, not at first.
But as the minutes drew on and the tremors turned to quakes, there were many who begun to feel the grip of concern ensnarl their minds, and many took to the streets or stopped their early commute to figure out what was going on. Yet ever stronger did the shaking become; still weak, it continuously ramped up, becoming much akin to a proper earthquake before long, yet one which came in waves of seismic tremors closely following in the footsteps of the previous trembling burst.
The arrival of distant and ominous, almost thunder-like rumbles from far over the ocean’s horizon helped to cement the sensation of dread which many were feeling, and they took to more open spaces like docks and parks as to avoid any collapse would the quakes continue to ramp up. It was a clever decision of course, as they were given ample time to prepare for what was to come. That was however when they saw it: coming over the faraway horizon was the rather recognizable silhouette of a…person?
Confusion quickly turned to fear as the people watching realized the exact scale of this distant creature for it to be visible so clearly from so far away, and while some stared in a sort of awe-struck disbelief, others begun to flee as they pieced together that he was no doubt the source of these distant shakes. And indeed the closer he got, the stronger the quaking became; following the exact rhythm of his calm stride, the shaking rather quickly ramped up to rival several of history’s greatest quakes.
It was with about that time that those below got some proper sights of the approaching titan now that the rising sun’s rays begun to illuminate his frame while the blur of atmospheric distance begun to clear once he came near. The approaching shark’s grandeurs size was not one to be questioned; was he a hundred miles or a thousand it mattered hardly as the more prominent threat of extinction instead gripped those in his path.
He seemed unaware of the landscape he was soon to reach, doing little else himself but munch on a bit of brought along food, a simple breakfast snack before he would do whatever he had planned to do once he’d arrive to the continent. His eyes didn’t even gaze down upon those he were about to crush, those who stared in pure and utter awe as he neared, those who witnessed the mega tsunamis created from his every step rise and loom far, far above even the tallest of mountains.
And as his paw rose above the panicking coast, they still did little but gawk and stare, eyes filled with horror and awe in their final most moments before that sole crashed into the ground, letting the whole continent know that its destroyer had just arrived~
