Travis and Crocket Portrait
Commission for a local I finished early this month. Specifically a friend of my dad's. I puffed out my chest and was firm(well, via email) on that this wasn't a favor or something "for exposure" like most friends-of-family try to pull. This worked out well and I think would be something I might have interest in doing in more, albeit I'd prefer to have more than one photo per animal to work with when it's possible. >.<
Couple of cute kitties! I don't think I've ever tried to paint so much fur without it being a lot more stylized... and it's still definitely a little bit stylized.
I feel like I learned a lot from this, but also realized how much more carefully I have to approach some things. I tend to be about speed and getting things churned out quickly, so having to render something more extensively can make me get antsy and worried I'm not doing well because "hey why isn't this done already????"
