Inktober 2018: Question 8
Now a part of me is curious if this location has made an appearance in the Dark Souls series in some sort of inspirational form.
I was often envious of those who had a relationship with their Grandparents. All of mine passed away long before I was born thanks to the generational gaps of my parents and their siblings. I really do treasure things like this because it allows me to know them in some small way.
Thank you for the amazing question!

The Grave of Artorias is pretty close, and there are loads of crosses and grave things in the Road of Sacrifices.
I can really relate to this. I only had one grandparent but he was always too far away and only saw him very seldomly. He was from my mother's side and the rest of my grandparents are gone. I wish I could've met them but sadly, all of them died long before I was born. My mother's mother died of a brain hemorrhaging. My father's mother died in a bathroom accident. My father's father is a complete mystery as all we know is that he was German and was a sailor on some ship. My last grandparent passed away in 2003. Never got to say goodbye to him. Some might say, better to have one than nothing. I'd give almost anything just to meet the rest of my grandparents. I want hear their stories. This definitely brought a tear to my eyes.
