The quiet town was broken by the sounds Of crashes and screams, in a matter of minutes everything was naught but spiralling chaos and fire. Long shadows danced in the orange light, seemingly grinning and stalking the inhabitants. Some tried to help others and put out the blaze while the rest ran in fear and other hid in the light babbling of hungry shadow and an endless grin. A dark wave fell over each one and they were reduced to ones and zeros, some fond themselves bound and unable to move as their lives were slowly drained away as they watched the horror unfold before them. Soon all there was was blazing light and writhing shadows as even the wails and screams started to fade, a grotesque silence prevailed as long creeping claws pulled themselves out of the shadows like water. They stretched and hauled up the tall thin body of the cat demon. Looking around Styxx laughed, laughed, laughed like a madman. The light of the data streams entering his body barely an ember in the light of off the destruction. His claws itched he needed more he felt there was still more to this body and he needed more energy. As the town burned and crumbled, smoke and sparks billowing into the sky, a lone shadow with a long gait strode out and down the road towards the next village....
