Slipping silently among the shadows on six silent paws, vanishing and reappearing at will, displacer beasts await the chance to ambush their victims with tooth, claw and hooked tentacles. They use illusions to keep themselves one step ahead of those who aren't killed outright, often doing this intentionally to sadistically toy with victims.
So for this one my favorite feature was how I managed to get the eyes to stand out by painting them white and then doing a bright green wash before applying the dark blues and greys of the fur. I just wish i took better photos lol

The only place I could imagine them being super effective, where the floor have narrow pathways and the attacked player would be displaced of track and suffer fall-damage/falling into a pool of lava/acid/anything malicious to health. In such a case, a bad move, and you are, where you didn't wanted to be!
