I realized that I really didn't have a baseline series of reference pics of my primary character set. While updating my backup drives, I ran across some old project pics that I did for a character-list sheet that sat at the front of the binder 'o pics I carried to conventions, starting with my first time attending C-ACE in Ottawa, ON. I had never posted these pics to FA (I think they're on VCL), so I'm placing them here as a basic reference for prospective fanart, trades etc.
Tatiana is the tomboy and athlete of the group, created in 1987. If you've looked at older art of her, you can just picture her being athletically and sexually aggressive. And potty-mouthed too :D. This pic was done in 2003.

I have followed your art even before you switched over to the more mature audience but I have one gripe about your works....each character looks exactly the same as the last...this one looks too much like tina only she is younger.
Other then that wicked detailing on the leather jacket, the detail is magnificently done and the line work as always is nice and clear but...yeah that's my only gripe about this picture is it has the been there done that feel about it.

Eh, it was 2003. There was a great deal of similarity in the faces from back then--actually more than a great deal--all of the females had the same eye/nose/eyebrow/mouth arrangement. You might be the first to notice, or at least to speak up about it.
Oh, by 'switchover to a more mature audience'. I think you're talking about the handful 'adult-ish' pics I've done (roughly two a year). Correct?

Indeed still this is pretty good for a 2003 artwork considering your more advanced drawings for 2009 you have done so far keep it up.
I guess I was the only one who didn't think it was rude to point out something that caught my attention...so yeah I know what your saying when you say no one else has spoken up about it. I tend to WANT to let people become better artists not worst by saying absolutely nothing. Tis better to offer advice on how to become better or to leave a comment about what is wrong with a picture as long as your not a jerk about it, its only good manners is all.

Oh, I've had critiques before. Mostly pointing out issues in recently-posted pics. If, once it was pointed out, the issue bothered me enough, I fixed it and replaced the original upload, to the commenter's approval. A few of my submissions show this in the comments. (although I don't make them easy to find, what with some 368 pics online as of tonight :D)
I assume if I had attempted to hook up with Yerf back in the day, I might have had a few more of those under my belt.
The last critique I gave was solicited. I explained the issues, how to fix them, and offered to redline. The offer was accepted, and graciously acknowledged. I'm aware of the hazards of critiquing in a place like FA, where there is no talent-based barrier to entry, but you could say I pick my battles carefully to avoid drama :)
