No her viv is in my room. The photo was taken just after misting which is why its so damp. Also she tends to empty her water bowl out almost straight away which didn't help much.
The problem I had with her was for a very long time (including when this shot was taken) she wouldn't go near any other water bowl except this little one. I had tried several but no luck. I ended up giving her a good soak every 2 days in another plastic tray that I have. But about a week before I came back to uni I finally got her to accept a different water bowl so she does have a decent size one now.
As for the substrate i've had orchid bark recommended by alot of people including a vet with quite alot of exotic animal experience and a few people I know who breed snakes.
Also I know the hygrometer is inaccurate, its not actually over 100% humidity. But thats also been replaced since this photo was taken as she's now in a bigger viv too ^_^.

Well the vet in question is my dad who has done a lot of extra courses on exotic animals, specifically snakes, chelonians and lizards so I do believe him. He's even been able to tell my mate who has been keeping and breeding bloods and royals for 12 years some things that he didn't know. But I will admit that in conversations i've had with other vets they often don't really have much in the way of reptile experience beyond simple procedures.
I have my heat mat on the side wall (as you can see in the picture) which seems to be working very well. I've always avoided having it on the bottom just to avoid danger of burns when burrowing in the substrate (which she does fairly often).
Also (which you can't see in the picture) I usually have a decent size bit of sphagnum moss in there as she loves hiding under this and in summer it really helped to keep the humidity up, as the substrate was getting very dry quite quickly.
I love bloods. As soon as I saw one I knew that I really wanted to get one. I had been planning on getting a royal but I just thought bloods looked so much nicer and I do like the fact they have nice bit of bulk that royals don't tend to have.
