I can'[t believe it actually ended this way... I was almost putting this comic on my "Terrible final, hate it forever" list (that actually have some comics on it)... but in the last sec, you did this amazing final.... and I think I'm going to cry on the corner...

and so a chapter ends in the lives of two who came from one adventure to another. the carried feelings of one to the other led through a trial of self doubt and exile, only for the breath of the gods to pierce his heart. awakened in this endeavor, something more comes to show and another time shall show the way of two lovers embrace beyond the rift of doubt and triumph. One night with one another lifted the spirits of two and led them to each others arms. Now and forever a bond forged glistened bighter than the most precious metal. what comes next if yet to be seen but nonetheless, will revitalize the love of wolves for the hunt for a demon of the forest, was also a hunt for what they truly wanted.

There are so many artists that don't get better no matter how much time it has passed, your progress is amazing.

Perfect! I really feared you would create a sad ending for the sake of art or something like that. There are many artists who do that and, in some cases, it is nice and interesting. But I'm extremely happy you choose the happy ending for this one. I grew attached to this couple, and i think they deserved a happy ending.
In other words: Happy endings aren't always without style, hehe.
I hope to see more of the two in part 2 (both NSFW and SFW!) :D

Thank you deeply for what you've accomplished here.
I never suspected that with such a simple story, a comic could move me so much. When I first read it (about 30 pages were out) I just got so attached to Ark and Cobb, transported by both their love and the fear their couple was doomed to never continue after the night... I was basically daydreaming about it.
And it has nothing to do with an excellent scenario, but only with proper writing and, mostly, an amazing mise-en-scène. You just use the comic format better than many professionals : using close-ups to emphasize the emotion of the scene, or wide shots to give some sweep (first time the two are naked, first time we see the village...) ; using manga-inspired abstract backgrounds to give dynamism, cuteness...
Some examples of amazing mise-en-scène :
- Cobb's flasback : Ark with two hands on his eyes when introducing the eye of dawn, or Cobb bound in the shadows while Ark is entering the light : two examples of wonderful symbolic shots that use contrast between shadow and light to create an atmosphere
- When Ark says to Cobb "I know you're in love with me" : placing the twist in a small speech balloon to make it completely unexpected
- The last pages : the white background with warm light, the series of Cobb's facial expressions "in slow motion" (an entire page for about a second of time) followed by Ark's, and then he looks at the camera (which multiplies the impact of the scene my brain was screaming aaaargh)
Long things shorts, you really have talent at composing images, expressing things visually, and that's what makes this comic incredibly better than many others.
The quality of your art helps : it has its flaws (I mean compare pages 73 and 79 : what went wrong with cobb's angry facial expression when you can do such a realistic surprised expression? xD), yet you tried so many different things and made such progress! First pages are quite simplistic and then - boom - here come pages 7 and 8 with amazing anatomy! Also, from page 60 to the end, it seems like you levelled up after the last nsfw pages, I don't know if that's subjective but the art style seems way more mastered than before, with some very wide shots that almost have an impressionist vibe. But the most amazing is still facial expressions (even if sometimes weird...), which are so human and powerful...
And so are your characters : humans (okay wolves, but human wolves) with their personalities and a relationship that looks vivid (too many relationships look completely artificial in stories, and this one absolutely not!), Ark's inconsequentialness and Cobb's bad-temper match just so well!
I'll end this looong comment with a little touch of PORN : some comics have mostly NSFW and some story as a pretext, others have good stories and waste it due to useless porn ; yours is an amazing love story (not for its scenario but for the consistency of the relationship depicted) which gets even better with porn! First with the sexual tension building up slowly, then all the comedy that comes with the porn (you are so good at doing the unexpected thing x'D), and, the better part, the tenderness of the scene, seeing Cobb discovering sex and Ark discovering his bisexuality : more than porn, it's real character development. If you removed porn from the movie Nymphomaniac it would lose a lot of its effect, and so would Forest Hunt ; this part is just essential to the story.

Yeah, this comic truly was a masterpiece of discovery of love, sexuality and acceptance. There's a way to "blame the plot" for this story, and that is from comical funny monents, tearful goodbyes to saying "I love you" in more unexpected ways then traditional ones. ^^
Reading this story inspires me to try my best at art and to succeed in what I love doing best thanks to creators like Shade.
Yeah, this comic truly was a masterpiece of discovery of love, sexuality and acceptance. There's a way to "blame the plot" for this story, and that is from comical funny monents, tearful goodbyes to saying "I love you" in more unexpected ways then traditional ones. ^^
Reading this story inspires me to try my best at art and to succeed in what I love doing best thanks to creators like Shade.
Hehe I guess I'm just a very good judge of character since I tend to have good friends and never hung out with the juvenile delinquents. It's good to have people who have your back when you're in depression and feeling alienated by people who are supposed to be your family. I saw how some of the villagers looked at Cobb when he was in the crowd. I hope they FINALLY accept him as their fellow family member and not an outsider/stranger/foreigner.
Omg, thank you my friend haha, I'm glad you like it that much. To be honest, If it's true that I try to make a specific kind of imagery and pay special atention on the facial exprecions, my intentions wasn't as deep and thoughtfull as you're describing. Those are things i already saw in comics i love myself and try to adapt to mines, just because I thought it would look good.
This whole project has been a massive learning experience for me, and still there's a lot i have to learn and get better at. Thanks to you guys and your comments is that i'm able to keep doing this, and i hope this continues untill the end. I really hope that you enjoy each project more than the last one.
And finally, sorry for making you all wait so much for the pages XD I'm trying to be more quick about it, some of this pages have like 5 different versions but you only saw the one i like the most. So I promise that I'll do my best so Part 2 won't take me this long XD

This comic is definitely one of the greatest masterpiece I have ever seen in my life. The story, the characters, the romance between Ark and Cobb, everything was just so good. This ending is giving me new questions I would like to see answered in the next part: how would the tribe react of their Alpha choosing as his mate someone who they considered as an outsider? How Ark is going to make sure Cobb gets accepted by the whole tribe since it's because of the fact that Cobb felt alienated that he almost left him ? What were his feelings for Cobb before the events of this first part? And finally how will they have a heir since they are both males (unless Cobb becomes an Omega?)?

Like, he couldnt have expected he would turn around to say goodbye, given the letter probably was like 'I am leaving, bye'

I just wanted to say how special this comic is. It's rare to find such a wonderful story with such fantastic porn in the same work. I got very emotionally invested in the characters and the story. I bet I've read this 20 times and I get emotional every time. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into this. I'm enjoying part two just as much if not more so far btw.
