Marcus is a man of little words, being that he rarely speaks but when he does, it's likely to be beyond most peoples comprehension. Marcus was involved in the same sort of incident that gave Eric and Nemesis their powers, however, instead of gaining greater physical attributes or strange abilities, Marcus was instead given an abnormally large boost in intelligence.

Marcus chooses his sides and makes his decisions carefully, based on logic and what would be mutually beneficial to everyone as a whole. Marcus has also become deathly accurate with a revolver, often being able to hit a bulls eye from a range others would find almost impossible, and preferably going for instantly lethal shots. Because of his high intelligence, Marcus often feels alienated from the general populace and has attempted to take his own life on more than one occasion.

Lately though, Marcus has joined Nemesis working under a higher authority. Marcus takes action from behind the scenes, acting as a spy, and in a few cases an assassin. Marcus see's Eric as a potential rival, Eric being one of very few people who have actually managed to outsmart Marcus, and to some degree giving Marcus someone he can finally relate to.
