Okay, time for an obscure Russian cartoon! This fan art is from a film called Space Dogs. The film is based on the real life space dogs Belka and Strelka. In the film. Belka is a circus dog, and Strelka is a street dog. They end up recruited into the space program and Belka falls in love with a dog named Kazbeck, the dog who trained her and Strelka. It was followed up by a sequel called Space Dogs: Adventure to the Moon. That movie focused mainly on Belka and Kazbeck's son Pushok, who travels to America to be the president's dog. They treat it like a mission, and it is implied he will return to Russia eventually. However the plot kicks off when monuments and objects from Earth are disappearing and showing up on the moon, so Strelka and Belka are chosen to investigate.

Believe it or not, there was a tv show called Space Dogs Family. It focused on Belka and Kazbeck's three pups: Dina, Rex, and Chewy. Strangely though, Pushok is not seen or mentioned. Unless this show takes place in an alternate universe, I imagine Pushok is still in America and Belka and Kazbeck simply had a second litter.

Strelka is known as "Aunt Strelka" to Belka's pups. But she never got a love interest in the movies or show. So I decided to change that. At some point, Strelka meets a dog named Jonni, the black dog with the guitar. At first they strike up a friendship, and soon become romantically involved. Jonni has a daughter from a previous marriage named Misha. She is the black pup with sepia on her. Misha's mother was hit by a car when she was really young. When Strelka marries Misha's father, she becomes Misha's stepmother. Then at some point later, Jonni and Strelka have a daughter named Siri, the small black and white dog, making her Misha's younger half-sister.
