I wanted to finally start putting some of my work in progress photos on my galleries for my gryphon fursuit build!
Here is the raw pull resin mask shell for Topaz made by my wonderfully talented friend,
Crystumes! (Please go check our her stuff it's 👌) Crystumes sculpted this falcon mask specifically for Sora/

Sora had... well, very high demands for its realism and proportions. (He comes from a wildlife biologist background). Unfortunately this means the ability to see out of this mask is almost nonexistent; it's just not very practical and is difficult it work with because it was just... SO MUCH BIRB. Therefore she doesn't normally offer them for sale.
Challenge accepted!
She was very supportive of my project and whipped one up for me. I wanted to start from the same place as Sora's mask so they would become cute matching suits :3 Here I just wanted to show you what I had to work with so you can better compare the modifications I made to it because Topaz is a different species of falcon The biggest issue was the tip of the beak on the lower jaw, a few air bubbles got in there so it has to be completely reconstructed. Otherwise it's a gorgeous bird blank!
This is my first time taking a resin blank to a finished state with fabric (I've only ever done a few ready-to-fur bases for people before), my first ever realistic suit, and the first time ever working with another maker's resin base.
Topaz is an aplomado falcon crossed with an amur tiger and this is my character account for her. You may also be more familiar with my work under the name
CanineHybrid, and I also go by my business name
