Yeah so on my way to work today I almost ran this over.
...Ok, not really, but I'm sure someone would have run her over soon enough, so I'm glad I got there when I did.
She ran out into the middle of the lane, and started meowing her head off as I haphazardly parked my car and ran like a maniac to save her from being pancaked. As soon as I picked her up, she started purring. ...I really expected that I'd have to like, capture her, and that it would be difficult, but she WANTED to be taken, the poor thing.
Work let me go home to take care of her, and now she's had food, a flea bath, and a flea-combing, and now she is taking a nap. I'd like to hold her, but she has mites, and I REALLY don't want them to spread to my cat.
She's absolutely adorable though. Well, now she's kinda wet and spiky but when she dries off I'm sure she'll be cute again. x3

I know, and she's the sweetest thing, she wanted someone to pick her up so badly, I have never seen an animal act that way before. It was heartbreaking. And when I put her in my car on the floor, she kept meowing, so I put her in my lap, and she started purring again and fell asleep. x3
At least you got to her before she was hit.
My dad was drivin' along the road a week ago, saw a cat lyin' on the side, was sad, drove into town, then when driving back saw that she was still twitching (keep in mind it takes 20 minutes each way), then he stopped, picked her up, took her to the vet, and had her put down. ;.; We dun know who's kitty it was, but we didn't want her to suffer, and she couldn't be fixed...

What an adorable little kitty! She's so cute! How could someone abandon this?
That sort of thing makes me angry. If you can't handle kittens...guess what people...SPAY/NEUTER YOUR CAT!!!!! The world has too many kittens as it is without irresponcible cat-owners letting their pets having kittens.
Sorry. It just isn't right to abandon a baby. She's still a beautiful animal.

I totally agree, and if your dog doesn't have a pedigree, and isn't part of a specific breeding program, there is no excuse not to get him or her fixed. There will always be other doggies who need homes, you don't need to make more! Even if your dog is a "pure bred" (which none of mine ever were, lol), if it doesn't fit EXTENSIVE quality guidelines, it isn't fit for breeding anyway, and the owner is not the judge of that.
I have heard so many excuses for not fixing an animal. "She never goes out!" "It's too expensive!" "I don't want him to be unhappy!" etc. And in one of those cases...the pet ended up pregnant a few months later.

All the excuses under the sun can't make up for unwanted or abandoned pets. It's just not right. I know guys who don't neuter their male dogs because they think the dog won't be a dog anymore! How pathetic is that?!
Both my beagle and my brother's husky are pure-bred with pedigrees, but I stated when I bought Tawny (my beagle) that I wasn't interested in breeding from her. I spayed her as soon as I could, and the breeders were pleased with my decision.
Breeding is too much of a strain on the dog's body, not to mention strain on the owner's emotions and bank-balances! Besides, getting them fixed removes the possibility of ovarian (or testicular) cancer, so it prolongs their life. And we all want our furry friends around for as long as possible.
Sorry about all this. I'm just really passionate about this sort of thing.

Na, it's totally cool, because I'm with you all the way!
Only VERY experienced people should be breeders, because a dog's physical appearance isn't all that matters. A dog who carries a gene for hip dysplasia or an aggression disorder should not be bred EVER, and an inexperienced handler might not know what to look out for. Just because a dog is "cute" or "beautiful" does not mean that he or she is fit for breeding -- that is how we have ended up with so many problems in pure breds over the years!
I hate to sound like I am against pure breds, because I'm not, I love the varieties of dog that we have created. but what people HAVE to realise is that since we have created them close to artificially, they have too many problems that need to be solved, and the average breeder is NOT going to be able to solve them. only breeders who care and do a CRAPLOAD of research will be able to breed animals INTELLIGENTLY, and not just for the sake of money or the idea of a "beautiful" dog.
I think that through scientific research and intellegent breeding, we can create boxers who don't have deadly seizures, and retrievers who don't have high risks of hip dysplasia. but for so long as there are unintelligent breeders out there who only judge quality by a dog's appearance, these problems are just going to persist.

Very true. Breeding involves a lot of genetic background-checking. You have to make sure there is nothing wrong with the dog's genes before you go ahead. Licensed breeders know best, so if they don't want you to breed your dog, take their advice. They know more about the dog then you will ever know. So many lovely-looking dogs have unfortunate diseases and/or temperment issues, and need to be put down, and that is never a happy time for anyone involved.
If you're gonna breed your dog (or any pet, for that matter), do your research first, and consult the original breeder. It's not that hard people.

Haha, exactly. When I bought that new rat, the lady had me sign papers that he was PET-ONLY and I wouldn't breed him. I don't neuter rats, because I only have one gender at a time, but if I were to even THINK about getting a female, my first thought would be neutering. x3 I have seen what happens when male rats meet females! xD I adopted Fuel from a lady that had that happen by accident, the poor thing, she had so many rats! but she certainly learned her lesson, and now she keeps the rats strictly separated.
That's really weird, the other day i found my kitten in an ally in the rain. He looks just like her except the fur on his nose is darker.
And when i picked him up for the first time he put his paw on my mouth. lol. Crawled to the hood of my jacket and fell asleep. Maybe they're our Familiars :p

Aww, poor kitty, I hope he gets better. x3
Me and my mate were having an argument over what was smater, a cat or a dog, and in doing research, we found that no one is really sure which is smarter. See, I know why he thinks cats are smarter, because his dog is a freaking moron. So, I think it's safe to say, some cats are smarter than some dogs, and some dogs are smarter than some cats. xD

That's awesome! I'm glad you found her in time too. She's a really nice kitty. She's lucky that you came along too!
If it were me, I would have done the same thing! I'm sure if she realized what you did for her, she would be really grateful to you for saving her life
By the way, you should probably be thinking of a name for her =]
