Seems like you've always had it rough with human beings. What happened to you? Please tell me all about it as I tend to like to hear stories from other people, tragic or not, since I don't go out of my house or travel very often.
I generally tend to like human beings as a species: just seeing the way they express themselves is absolutely astounding and fascinating. They have so many different cultures, styles, art, social structures and beliefs that it really is impossible to summarize them with a single concept or idea. Which brings me to my main criticism of many of those who claim they are "upset with humanity" when in reality, people who say that are either close-minded pessimists or people who just too stubborn to appreciate humanity's bright side because it isn't "in touch with reality".
Humanity does have a bright side, you just need to open your mind and travel often* so you can see it. I feel like many liberals and environmentalist tend to be far too harsh on humanitys, probably because they waste their time hearing fake news from unreliable sources like CNN and FOX news; their goal is to keep you in a constant state of hysteria so that you can keep paying attention to them, and what better what to do so than to post news articles about contamination, corruption and scandals. (some "rebels" they are!)
But alas, I do acknowledge their dark side, but rather than whine and complain about it, I tend to study said dark side and wonder how can we persuade them to do better while embracing said dark side. Here's one example: a good way to "end wars" is to have find ways to make war less deadlier to civilians rather than just put an end to the concept (hence the quote). Since humans can be quite savage, as evidenced by your experience with them, war is inevitable. So why are we wasting time trying to end all wars when we can find ways to make them less deadlier and destructive?
*I know I said I don't travel often, which makes that point very hypocritical. However what I meant by "traveling often" is to try and at least look around the internet for real-life stories with a happy ending, stories where justice was served. Just google for stories while asking yourself the question "What could possibly go right?!"

My reasons for seeing humanity as I do are rarer and more complex. I very rarely talk about some of them, it's possible I may at least make art about it someday. For what I can say now, I've seen humanity as exactly NPC's since I was a kid, decades before this meme came to life... today when I know better I'm not proud, and yet it's still all I can feel.
I could indeed take humans as an interesting race, as that they certainly are. When you have to live among them personally however, it's not easy to be detached. As a group they won't leave anything or anyone untouched, they will meddle and destroy everything they're aware exists... as hard as one may try to mind their own business, they'll stick their noses and find consequences and come after you no matter who you are. As far as I'm concerned society needs to fall: Humans should never be allowed to govern themselves, they cannot build a fair system that holds.
There are those who are good too of course. Sadly it takes only a few who are bad to get into a position of power, be that government or power to manipulate people. Once they do, they make the laws and set the social trends for all. Most have accepted living in this dark and limited world... those who can imagine an existence beyond that have to be forced to live in it too, but I'm not one who can take the pill and join the line. Even if it makes my life much harder I cannot and would not trade who and what I am.
I still see myself as a liberal and left-leaning, even if I'm disgusted with what some have done under that banner. Being a liberal doesn't mean calling everyone you don't agree with a Nazi, asking for people to be shamed, or demanding censorship when it suits you (such a liberal thing to do)... yet apparently that is what the extreme left does, just as bad as the conservative right.

It saddens me to say that I understand you perfectly. The furry community is sadly not all that better from the mainstream, as much as I believed otherwise once upon a time. It may generally be more accepting with matters such as being transgender, but as far as other things are concerned it's as stupid and hateful and closed minded. It took being more active on Twitter to see that... I've even been blocked by people here on FA, for nothing more than advocating freedom of speech and the like over on the birdsite. But hey, at least it draws good art of my people... *cough*
I've heard people complain that the NPC meme is too dehumanizing. I made it because it refers to an important and understated truth: How the vast majority are ultimately being programmed by mainstream culture to think in a certain way. Sure, we are all individuals of course... but in many cases we also aren't: The media or general culture tells us what we're supposed to accept or be offended by today, who is the good guy and who's the bad guy, what thoughts should be followed or erased from existence... and many accept because they want to follow others around them (the path of least resistance). I've seen the harms caused by this and find it harder to remain gentle about it now.
(Sorry for late reply)
The NPC meme hurt since it hit the perfect spot, Twitter proved why walls work and why many people should put a gag on their mouth before trying to speak, I believe In doing the right thing when it comes to people but... You can´t really do the right thing for the majority if there is a minority complaining that the majority gets to choose what they want to do... Democracy is not exactly about satisfying everyone but rather the majority of people choses what to do, who sits on the high chairs and who leads them.
In another note... The Honkler meme is also a perfect hit from 4chan as well, It does represent the "clown world" where nothing makes sense perfectly, just like environmentalists complaining to people about pollution and how bad we are for just wanting to go places yet... they won´t critiquize the short trips they took on low cost airlines to travel to major cities to complain there instead of complaining on their own homes (Short trips on airplanes are more pollutant with few people than long trips with less people, apply the Gallon per passenger formula etc)... HONK HONK!

If segregation should exist, I don't believe it should be based on race or nationality. It should be based on the society people want: Those who hate everyone and want tyranny can live in that hate and tyranny if they wish, but those who want a free and modern world should be allowed to have that.
And yeah, I hate that hypocrisy as well. Like feminism, environmentalism is a well intended idea that went too far and became more the problem rather than the solution. Environmentalists like to complain more about some puny plastic straws we use, while behind them huge industries dump tons of waste directly into the oceans.

I feel for you, as I know for a fact that people who never think critically always wind up doing henious and/or stupid things.
Think the idealogies that spawn these NPCs and MOBs. Those who are more than happy to have the knives come out upon the bogus alligations. you know, the likes of Groupthink which the NPC meme makes fun of.
