...Ok so here's ya another example'a how I make costume mods...
The 'generic' costume. as I'd mentioned b'fore, came with the hat /w wig, cape, necklace and cane... The cape, while a nice, black velvet with black feathers already hemmed in along the collar line looked good already... but it was fastened by a mere velcro tab at the corner of the collar... certainly not near enough 'holdin' power' not only of anyone who didn't wanna lose it the second they stepped outside much less so much as shrugged their shoulders so I tried huntin' down a pair of chained cloak clasps ta use that'd also be more festive... closest I came though was one that had 3 hackets on it's chain and one that had 3 spiders on the other... an the chains they were hooked on were so wispy thin that again I doubt they would last long under the slightest movement so I then bolstered the chains with a couple of thicker chains that had adornments that looked great fer the character...
So here is the bolstered chained cloak clasps that I have made by combinin' the thin hachet chain ta the thicker silver swirl chain (upper cloak clasp) and the thin 3 spider chain bolstered by the heavier dubloon/coin chain (lower chained cloak clasp)
So this gives ya insight ta some of m'other craftin' skills when it comes ta costume design... so hope this also gives ya yer own ideas on how ya can take 'generic' costumes an kick'em up levels an make'em more personal...
Hope evfurryone enjoys themselves on the up-comin' howliday! AaaAaH AaaAaaAAH AaaaAAHHRRRoooOOOoooOOO!!! :)
