I created this by jamming a contact mic in my car's exhaust pipe, dropping spare change in my master cylinder, hitting the engine block with a sledgehammer, and over-inflating the tires with an automatic pressurizer. Wait, what?

Two analog synth emulations, compression/overdrive, a very slight amount of reverb, and a distortion program which randomly cycles through eight different settings. 'Live' improvisation (in the 'studio'), later mixed to give a slight boost to the low end.
