Was excited to paint a bit different species than my usual selection, otters are so cute. Wanted to make an autumn themed painting, so I set up a poll with some choices and the otters won it.

You hit so many sweet spots for me with this image. The subject, the perfect composition and colour palette, the water effects; the silly grin I got when I saw that leaf on the lower otter's head. But when I realised you'd used maple leaves it took me right back to happy autumns in Ontario many years ago, and my morning was complete. Thank you very much for posting this - it is a complete delight.
