The medieval trilogy arc in the Ephalon series features numerous appearances of these vile creatures. They are strange tall figures which are unable to feel pain, making them very dangerous to combat.
- The left most Aquinti is in its dormant state, something not unlike hibernation. It doesn't move at all whilst in this state.
- The one in front is an active Aquinti, they often attack by flinging themselves at their prey, wrapping their tentacles around it and biting down into its shoulder till its dead.
- The centre front one is known as an Aquinti berserker. Who has two additional tentacles instead of arms. Another major difference is the black lines across its front, these are laden with deadly acid spores able to burn through anything. Being wrapped up by this one is a garanteed death sentence.
- The massive creature in the back is known as the Aquinox. A mass of goop with a few large arms with which to attack. It is slow and lumbering, however, do not underestimate it for this reason, as it is nearly unkillable due to an incredible level of regeneration.
- At the top centre is the Aquilax as strange flying variant of the Aquinti. The tentacles it possesses have two orificies with which it tries to eat out the brain of its victims.
- Finally, on the far right is the Aquivu, a unique single variant with the ability to fire void-energy bombs and blasts. It's speed is also unmatched compared to the others as whenever it runs it appears as though it shifts from place to place.
