Dipak the Shepherd
The youngest of the Caretakers, Dipak, seems at first glance barely past middle aged. His son though is well known to all: Fearson, the town mayor. At 92 Fearson is one of the oldest people in the entire Village and it’s known that Fearson is the only surviving member of his siblings, being as he was the youngest by far.
As the Sheperd, Dipak is responsible for the collection of Fatalis who have the capacity to serve as Saints. A pillar of the community, his comings and goings are common and well met by all. He makes it a habit to visit every household at least yearly and is treated by all as a fond uncle come to visit. An avid woodsman and skilled craftsman, his input is sought on most anything of importance though he technically holds no power within The Village. The Shepard is a position of servitude within the Caretakers but the traditions of town do ill to reflect that accurately. Valda often puts Dipak forth as her proxy and Dipak’s authority amongst Saints is codified within the doctrine of Soul harvesting so the reverence of the community is understandable.
Some day Dipak will rise to become the Tender, but for now he’s a friendly Villager with a bustling pack and a shortsword who comes and goes as he pleases and is friend to all.
